I remember when I met a kenyan lady 🇰🇪 and agreed to spend the night with her for 20K Kenyan shillings.
So we did. 😏
Before leaving Nairobi, I told her that I didn’t have any cash with me, but I could write a cheque and mail it to her, calling the payment “RENT FOR APARTMENT.” 🏠💰
However, when I got back to Uganda 🇺🇬, I deeply regretted what I had promised because, honestly, the whole experience wasn’t worth the price. 🥹
So, I instructed my secretary to send a cheque of 5K Kenyan shillings instead, along with the following note:
Dear Madam,
Please find enclosed a cheque for 5K Kenyan shillings as payment for the rent of your apartment.
I am not sending the full amount we agreed upon because, when I rented the apartment, I was under the impression that:
1️⃣ It had never been occupied before.
2️⃣ There was plenty of heat. 🔥
3️⃣ It was small enough to make me feel cozy and at home. However, last night, I found out that:
❌ It had been previously occupied.
❌ There was no heat. 🥶
❌ And it was entirely too large.Sincerely,
OnginaUpon receiving my note, the lady immediately returned the 5K cheque with the following response:
Dear Ongina,
First of all, I cannot understand how you expect a beautiful apartment 🏠 to remain unoccupied forever.
As for the heat, there was plenty, if only you knew how to turn it on. 🔥😉
Regarding the space, the apartment is of standard size, but if you don’t have enough furniture to fill it, please don’t blame the landlady. 🤣😆
