NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO DISRESPECT MY FAMILY !
If someone sents you an invite for an occasion, from back home (Nigeria ) it’s actually done for two reasons:
1 To inform you of their happy occasion.
2 For support.

Now a cousin from my paternal side , reached out to me about her child’s dedication, Both of us knows that I won’t be able to come from 🇬🇧 Uk to grace the occasion, but I still have my family who could attend.

I chatted my sister, asking if she informed her of the child dedication,she said no , I told her to find out from my mum as well, my sister chatted back to say my mum isn’t aware too.

My aim was to send my support for the baby through my family as the will be present , the distance from my mum’s place to her place isn’t more than 200 naira also my sister with the husband can even drive my mum down to the venue as all of them stays in the same city .

It’s a different thing if she had told my mum or sister and they said , it won’t be posible for them to come.

So I went back to her, did you inform my mum or sister ? she kept mute later said No!

Asked her, how can you invite someone who is thousands of mile away 🇬🇧 first before someone who is
actually less than 15miles away from you ?

That you don’t regard your family , doesn’t mean that others don’t .

Now , I refused to send my support ….

Let’s say it was you , how would you have handled this ?
