Have you heard about it?
There have been some successful womb transplants in the UK and some other parts of the worldYes, some beautiful women have a non functional tiny womb or some don’t have at all and some don’t have functional ovaries or even a vagina.
Facts about this great people
– These women have what we call rudimentary uterus (a very small pedicle or stump…hence cannot menstruate….
Not that it is completely absent… They have absent functional wombs-Its not fault of theirs and they are beautiful women and some celebrities are like that and are doing amazing
– They can have their own children(in MRKH) with the help of a surrogate mother.
-Also of note is that some of these women have had a succeessful womb transplant and a successful pregnancy up to term
-They are sweet people
– In some women with some conditions, they have improperly formed reproductive tract… like no vaginal cavity
– Some have the male karyotype 46XY…some still have the female 46XX
***These conditions are
-Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) Syndrome
– Congenital Adrenal Insufficiency Syndrome (CAIS)– Other situations are in the Transgender population
-Some women have removed their womb due to uncontrolled bleeding during surgery, accidents, severe post menopausal symptoms, cancer!!– In all, they can have great babies of their own through egg donation, Surrogacy, Adoption, womb transplant.
– For Women with these, be open with your partner, your doctor because there is plenty of help available. New vagina can be crested and also with the use of vagina dilators.
