INYA: Celebrating the strength and potential of the Girl Child.
The INYA: Celebrating the strength and potential of the Girl Child.
The President of the Isoko National Youth Assembly-INYA Worldwide Comr Eniwake Orogun has joined the global community in celebrating the International Girl Child day.
In a statement obtained from the INYA Director of Media, Comr. John Jephthah, it reads: “On this International Day of the Girl Child, I celebrate the remarkable girls and young women of Isoko and around the world for their invaluable contributions, resilience, and limitless potential. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of promoting girls’ rights, education, and empowerment. We at INYA recognize the unique challenges girls face, from access to quality education to protection from harmful practices and gender-based violence. As future leaders and change-makers, we wholeheartedly advocate that the girl child deserves equal opportunities to thrive.”
This year’s theme, ‘Girls’ Vision for the Future,’ emphasizes the urgent need to address the challenges facing the girl child while providing them with equal opportunities to thrive. It is our collective responsibility to dismantle barriers and provide platforms for girls to express themselves, grow, and become leaders in various sectors.
“As we commemorate this day, INYA-Worldwide reaffirms its commitment to promoting gender equity and ensuring that girls in Isoko land and beyond are empowered to realize their full potential. We call upon all stakeholders, parents, educators, and community leaders to prioritize the education, safety, and well-being of the girl child.
To the girls of Isoko, we believe in you. Your dreams are valid, your voices matter, and we pledge to support your journey towards greatness.
